- Problem
Calendar reminders may not show due to the presence of multiple CICAL Service Records on the BlackBerry smartphone.
Note: This issue also affects BlackBerry smartphones that are using the BlackBerry® Enterprise Server and that contain a BlackBerry® Internet Service [CICAL] service book on the BlackBerry smartphone.
- Cause
The reminder manager is unable to find the appointment to remind the BlackBerry smartphone user.
This is a previously reported issue that has been escalated internally to our development team. No resolution time frame is currently available.
- Workaround
For BlackBerry smartphone users that have both the BlackBerry Enterprise Server and BlackBerry Internet Service [CICAL] service books, delete all of the <BlackBerry Internet Service integration_name> [CICAL] service books.
On the BlackBerry smartphone go to Options > Advanced Options > Service Book.
Delete all of the <BlackBerry Internet Service integration_name> (BIS) [CICAL] service books (each BlackBerry Internet Service email integration will have a service book listed as follows, <BlackBerry Internet Service integration_name> [CICAL].
Note: When a BlackBerry Enterprise Server [CICAL] service book exists on the BlackBerry smartphone, the BlackBerry Internet Service [CICAL] is not used.
