Vintage (’91) Kokopelli and Bighorn RametchedPottery Coffee Mugs by Delma Tangreen, Moab Artist
We purchased our two Kokopelli and Bighorn Ramsgraffito-etchedceramic coffee mugs in 1991 from well-known Moab Utah artist Delma Tangreen (1934 – 2020) when we visited her studio/gallery, theKokopelli Tales and Trails. Delma handcrafted the 2 mugs from clay and used thesgraffito method to etch a kokopelli on one and a Bighorn ram on the other.Delma was known as the Kokopelli Potter. Her passion was visiting theancientrock writings located in southern Utah. She etched these mugs with twoof her favorite images, Kokopelli and the bighorn ram, originally created on nearby cliff faces by theancestral Puebloan people between 650 and 2,000 years ago.Signed and dated 1991
