( CIRCA 1953 )WOW! WOW! WOW! This is one of the rarest finds of 2023.A 70 year old Rembrandt "Atomic Blender" styled modernist lampcomplete with the pink, black and white paint splatter finish!
You simply can't find these wonderful Rembrandt lamps anymore!Rembrandt billed their designs as "Rembrandt Lamps- Masterpieces"and when the modern movement arrived, they were there ina big way with lamps that were simply works of modern art!
Rembrandt lamps were so futuristic they were usedin episodes of Outer Limits and The Twilight Zone.Set designers that needed props found Rembrandt's incrediblemodernist lamps just the ticket!
This "Atomic Blender" design is named for the metal centerpiecethat resembles a turbine blade or a blender! It wascustom cast pieces like this that made these designs so special.
They were expensive new, and production was never ashigh as their lesser quality competition. The result is that nowthese lamps are becoming impossible finds. When the modern designmovement faltered in the mid-1960s, most of these lamps werenow simply too "outrageous" for their wealthy owners to keepand so were replaced!Now that brash mid century optimism and outrageousness makes themeven more wonderful than when they were new!
