You are offerding on one main frame for a Stanley Number 45 wood plane as pictured.

It is marked "STANLEY RULE & LEVEL CO NEW BRITAIN CONN USA" on the skate with STANLEY in script lettering, and also marked "No 45" on the frame. And owner "G" scratched his initial into the left side of the handle as shown.

Included or not included with it are:

--- the adjustable depth stop with its special nut. It doesn't have a locking screw.

--- the little 3-winged nicker and screw are missing.

--- the hardware to secure the irons is present, and the wingnut is intact and not split out under the clip as is common.

--- the hardware to adjust the irons up and down is present.

--- and the two screws that would secure the rods are present (no rods included).

Condition of everything is good but rusty in places. The skate is reasonably clean except for the rust along the lower edge of the right side. Everything turns and operates properly, although the blade adjuster would benefit from a little cleaning and lubrication. The depth stop has quite a bit of rust as can be seen.

Except as noted, there are no cracks or chips or chunks missing from any of the castings, and everything operates properly.

ETHICS IN DESCRIPTIONS: I also buy for my collecting on , and I have been burned too many times by misleading (duh did I forget to mention .......) descriptions, and sales with pictures only of the left side because the right side was trashed. Life is much simpler for me if I disclose what I know or see about an item before you offer, and especially before you receive it in the mail. RETURN POLICY: I believe that if you give honest descriptions, and include enough pictures, you shouldn't need a return policy. However, that doesn't mean that I won't make an occasional mistake. USPS POSTAGE RATE INCREASES: I use the Post Office for everything, and yes, the shipping charges just keep going up and up. The Post Office now has several prices increases during each year, raising a few things but not everything at each increase. And they now raise their rates during the Holidays, which for this past season was October 2 to January 22. Their big increases are in January, timed to start at the end of the Holiday rates, and this year is no exception. And it's not just the postage rates, the insurance charges and the delivery signature charges have also gone up. There is now a surcharge for Priority Mail packages over 20" long, and another for Priority Mail packages over 30" long, because those longer packages won't fit in their automatic machines. And the Post Office has discontinued the Regional Flat Rate boxes, which were often less expensive for certain sizes and weights.I try to pick the best shipping option for each listing, based both on what is the least expensive and on what I think is needed to protect the item. If the value is $250 or over, requires your signature at delivery for the buyer and seller protections to be in effect.

SALES TAX: Interstate sales tax is now the reality on all the major selling websites including . If I ship to a state where is required to collect sales tax, will charge you the sales tax for your location.There is lots of information available from that explains it in much more detail. The sales tax is completely out of my hands -- I don't have anything to do with deciding whether to charge tax, I don't have anything to do with deciding the tax rate, and I never see any of the funds that are collected, they go directly to .
