my family has a lot of the old vcr camcorder tapes that I wanted to convert to dvd to preserve them. I had never used a unit like this one before but I got such a good deal that I could not turn it down. I am glad that I bought it. The ease of use is beyond belief. One touch of a button will transfer vhs to dvd, or even dvd to vhs. There are built in programs that let you edit the video and just record what you want, and can even make chapters if you want. It takes no time at all to learn how to do it. If you can hook up a dvd player to your tv, (and set the clock) you will have no trouble at all converting all of your old vhs tapes to dvd format that will play on any dvd player.
This Samsung dvd-vr329 dvd recorder & vcr recorder combo is so radically excellent because you get better picture and quality from all blank dvd formatts. So I wish and hope that sometime,or someday I could see this radical product for low price,or for sale on ebay brandnew in it's original box with the new remote with two brandnew batteries,plus it's brandnew original RF cable cord,and a brandnew set of audio/video jacks in yellow,white,and red cords because this can let me record from dvd to vhs tapes, or from vhs tapes to dvds, and definitely from television broadcast as a great gift for me to cherish to my collection.
I needed an inexpensive dvd/vcr combo recorder that was easy to use but still provided good picture quality. This unit is perfect for my needs and works great!
I bought these to fix up and resell. They were great units very nice looking. Exactly what I was looking for. Units needing repair but not beat up. I actually liked them so much I kept one for own personal use.
I love this product so much I bought 4 of them for Christmas presents. They make switching from vcr to dvd easier and less confusing. I love the info button that tells you where you are on a tape or disc. i haven't tried the record for disks yet but I am looking forward to it! Pepsi!
