Unfortunately, these appear to be counterfeits. After buying 12 and trying 3 transistors in my machine repair with varying results/failures, I did some research and found a post detailing my exact issues. Simply do an internet search for "warning-fake-mj16012-transistors-on-ebay", a post on the eevblog community forum should show as a result. The readings and physical details described match the transistors that I purchased. I've attached a photo of one of the transistors that immediately failed on me, decapped to show the internals. An equivalent transistor to this one is the NTE53. I have since bought some of these and they've been working without issue and my machine is back up and running. This may simply be some bad apples in their supply, but seeing as how the above post was from a few years ago, and these are still for sale, I assume the issue has not been addressed.Read full review
