The Impedance is much higher than a standard 8 ohm magnetic earbud and it does work very well with a crystal Radio. Magnetic Earphones with more than 50 Ohm impedance are considered Higher Impedance Earphones.My 220 ohm Magnetic Earphone can work with a crystal radio.
