For sale is a white mug with blue text for AT&T Long Lines. A memento for vintage, historical technology, AT&T Long Lines was a network of microwave-frequency relay towers that drove United States telecommunications from the 1950s until the 1980s. In addition to connecting the country by phone, the Long Lines carried television programming, before being replaced by fiber optics and satellites. This piece is in good condition with a small chip and stain on the interior bottom (photograph 11); the exterior has some shelf wear. There is a glaze pop with a rough area on the rim (photograph 12). The mug displays beautifully and has a great story. The bottom is impressed with U.S.A. (S is very light). Made in the US.
