What steps do I need to take to upgrade from BIS

To upgrade from BIS then follow these steps

• Install a BES server and get it up and running

• UPGRADE the BES subscription that the devices are on (BES costs more per month than BIS) - speak to your carrier for more details

• Wipe the device - I'd recommend this as it helps with the activation process, although it's not totall neccessary. But do a backup of the device first.

• Perform an 'enterprise activation'

If you have a new device as well as the BES then I'd activate the new device first - then once you've proved the BES is all working well you can crack on with the BIS to BES conversions.
